Larry Vickers Full House Custom Colt 70 Series 1911 - TWO TONE - Fully Documented!
Larry Vickers requires no introduction, from his time in the famed Delta Force, to his time spent at the bench crafting fine fighting 1911 pistols, to the range and training facilities the world over teaching gunfighters how to win and get to go home, and his time consulting manufacturers. Larry has carried a 1911 in defense of his life and country for years before building them for others, this experience is shown in the resulting work. It is high functioning, thoughtfully set up, carefully beveled and without much fluff. This example is a step above most of his usual parkerized fighting guns, with a lovely slow-rust-blued slide over a hardchrome frame. This pistol was built in 1998, full paperwork including correspondence between that original client and Larry are included. Also included is correspondence between the second owner and Larry. This gun presents in very very high condition, comes as shown with Larry’s informational sheets, emails, Larry’s handwritten invoice and typed build sheet. A rare opportunity to own a piece from one of the great freedom fighters and gunsmiths of the era. Larry’s Custom 1911 book is not included, but you should have a copy!
-Vickers joined the U.S. Army after graduating school in 1981 and entering active duty in 1982. He spent over 20 years in Special Operations, with the last 15 in Delta Force. His career included participation in high-profile operations:
