Casey Ridgway - Deviant Precision Full House Custom Springfield 1911 -- 45 ACP
Casey Ridgway out of Texas keeps a pretty low profile on the net, but builds a very nice gun, this gun is tight and smooth, and shows a wild amount of fixturing and machining abillity. Casey built this gun in 2022 for himself, but a client talked him out of it. Built on a Springfield Armory Mil-Spec it shows every surface and style re-imagined. From the ball cuts, to the dimpled flat top slide and wrap around texturing on the backstrap/MSH, this gun has so many hours of setup. This gun has been carried and shot some but the blued finish in is great shape with only minor wear. For those that don’t know Casey, I asked him for a brief bio:
“I went into the machinist trade my graduation year of high school. I am now the General Manager/President of the company I started with 35 years later. I found my way to 1911’s and all the machine work and fitting parts was what I did everyday so I started doing mods and fitting good parts to make a 1911 to what I think is the best fit and mechanically sufficient it can be. I became friends with Pete Single and his knowledge and experience was a tremendous help to me. To summarize I started sweeping floors in a machine shop to running the entire business and have a love for making the best possible pistol I can.”
Handsome gun, built by a master machinist. Countless hours of setup and machining to result in what we see here, Casey shows the in-process work of this gun in the following thread:
