This old girl sure has a story or two to tell, manufactured in 1954 it shows a fair bit of holster time but no rust, this to me is indicative of a gun that while well used, was very well maintained. Action is proper an smooth, bore is mirror bright. I can just imagine this gun, the hours, miles, memories it shared while married to its original owner. The gun has a 5” barrel, original finish, and wears a superb pair of period, Roper-Style Custom grips. These may be very late Rope’s, but I have doubts (no jig marks and shape is more Herrett than Roper IMO), nonetheless, they are very handsome grips that have ridden on this gun for over half a century, so they belong to it, and it to them. If you want a classic rig, with style and salt, this is it.
