~1956 Smith & Wesson I-Frame 32 Hand Ejector Snub -- 32 S&W Long
The Smith & Wesson I-Frame was the firms most compact centerfire revolver ever made, this post-war, Improved I-Frame would make a grand carry gun still today. Stoked with 6 rounds of High Desert’s wadcutters I would not hesitate to drop this ole gal in my front pocket. This gun was likely mfg in 1956, as S&W deleted the upper sideplate screw (this one is a 4-screw) in 1956 at serial 640980, This gun came just before that bearing #640955. Gun is in great mechanical condition and has much of its original finish, granted it has been carried and shows some wear. These improved I Frame guns are a good bit smaller than the J frame’s that would eventually fully replace them. 32 Caliber gets you 6 shots in this small package!
