Hamilton Bowen is a benchmark of excellence in custom pistolsmithing, specifically in revolver work. Building a reputation over the course of the last 45+ years for excellence. This revolver visited Hamilton’s shop in 2008 for the RS01 Standard Issue Tune up Package, where Hamilton Tunes the complete action, checks/corrects critical dimensions like gap, throats and forcing cone, fit Bowen rear sight and O/S locking Base pin. Also done was a litany of fine options to include:

-B404 - Deck grip Frame

-B420 - Provide and fit Steel EJRH

-B430 - Colt Style Blackpowder chamfer

-B401 - Provide and fit Steel Grip Frame

-Polished Blue finish

-Custom Fit wood grips by CLC grips

This gun is really a lovely example, on a classic, unconverted Old Model Ruger. Gun has seen very little use since returning from Hamilton’s shop. This revolver has the original Old model action, with no transfer bar.

Note the last picture in the gallery, Pictured is Hamilton and Bill Laughridge receiving their Lifetime Achievement Awards from the American Custom Gunmakers Guild.
