Classic light workup on this 1972 Colt MKIV Series 70 Govt model 1911. Clearly built in the 80s and well enjoyed in the years since. I do not know who did the work but it has held up to many many reps and miles with her previous owner. This Colt has had an early Heinie rear sight installed and a ramped front blade, solid bushing fit, barrel throated. Ejection port lowered, short trigger fit with a smooth face and OT stop, behind that are colt internals including a commander ring hammer. Wilson Beavertail grip safety and flat serrated MSH installed. Gun was nicely stippled on the front strap and front of the guard. Frame to slide fit was snugged up some as well. Classic IPSC/Combat style work on this classic base gun.
