It is such a huge honor to have the opportunity to bring guns like this to market. This Bowen Classic Arms custom Ruger is truly special, one of a kind custom. Hamilton indicates only approx 20 Numbered Best Grade Revolvers were ever produced, this one being #3. If you have Bowen’s book, open it to page 250 and read the section on Best-Quality Guns, it is a way to get into Hamilton’s head and see, from his point of view, what makes these numbered guns so special. This one features a Custom, linebored cylinder chambered for 44 Russian. Custom produced Damascus octagon barrel, with the Damascus blank being forged by Bill Fiorini. Revolver has Bowens best action work, including slotting pins and adding a bolt-block to remove play. Fitting the gun with a steel grip frame, and detailing all exterior surfaces of the gun to be as perfect as possible. The gun currently wears Paul Persinger custom fit Ivory Micarta grips, note this gun is featured a few times in Hamilton’s book, but is wearing black Persingers in the book (not included). To my knowledge the only other Bowen with a Damascus Octagon barrel is Best Grade #13, belonging to Ross Seyfried. This gun has been shot and enjoyed some, shows minor handling wear, action is superb and chambers/bore are bright and clean.
