Really interesting custom comp gun here, built on a 1987 Colt Govt Model, I have been unable to ID the builder, but the hands that built this were quite skilled, and willing to color outside the lines. This gun features a beautifully fit, full profile single port comp with a trick thread out baffle. As we move back the 5.5” Wilson Match grade barrel we see a flat top and serrated slide, front sight is a custom unit, dovetailed in from the back of the comp with a gold face’d blade. Port is lowered and flared, take a moment to stand in awe of the gracefully, and beautifully installed Wichita rear sight, perfectly mated to the slide by removing the dovetail from the base, and welding the base directly to the slide, This could not be done any better, impressive work! Frame to slide are snugged up, trigger guard welded up with squaring and a hook added. Also a weld on magwell! Lets take a good look at that front strap checkering, perfectly done, with a lovely and unique machined border all the way around, This gun is finished in bluing over satin nickel and has an awesome look and feel to it.
