What a neat gun! I have been hunting for a few weeks to pin down who did this very clean, and unique Custom Colt, and came up with dome good guesses, but nothing concrete, closest seems to be Bill Bidwell, but he does not recognize it as his own. This Colt has a full menu of options and features we expect to see on a late 70s - early 80s Combat Auto. The base gun left Hartford in 1978 and the Barsto Match barrel is dated 11/79. From the top:

-Melted and low mounted Micro rear sight

-Custom white line front sight, fit in a slot (never seen another just like it!)

-Flat top and serrate slide

-Barsto Match barrel and bushing fit

-Barsto Precision recoil dampening guide rod

-Frame to slide refit by peen/polish

-Modified Colt internals, commander hammer chamferred

-Early Wilson LW trigger

-GI Grip safety modified for Commander hammer

-Pin grip safety

-AD Swenson Ambi Safety

-Weld square trigger guard, checker

-Checker front strap, raised panel style

-checker arched MSH, Hoag panel style

-Bevel magwell
