If I had to order a custom carry gun from any builder still active today, Reid would get the call. Jeremy builds a supremely high-level, ergonomically thoughtful custom 1911. No offending edges, corners, gaps, nothing to make the feel of his guns less than stellar. Then there is the matter of Jeremy, and accomplished high-round-count competitor himself, he knows what a gun needs to run a lot, and often. JR’s guns are also really beautifully fit and finished in my experience, machine and file marks are nowhere to be found, anywhere, just look at the weld-on magwell on this gun. Having done a number of these myself I know how long and arduous it is to fit these up on a high level. Not to stop there, Reid also rebuilt the frame tangs so that he could fit a seamless beavertail that is nothing short of perfect. I could go on, but suffice to say, JR has a serious history of great work, and the future should be extremely bright for this guy! This gun is built off a Springfield Armory Custom Carry Model, Jeremy replaced or re-worked most everything but the hard-fit Nowlin barrel. This gun features Jeremy’s wrap-around rear checkering, and JR’s custom sights.
