Paul Jaeger had a long and storied career in custom rifle and shotgun work in the Philadelphia area. Born into a gunmaking family, he trained classically as an actioner Suhl Germany. Settling in Eastern PA in the late 20s and plying his craft for decades before selling the company in the 1980s. Paul was best known for his classic sporting rifles like this one. Built on a very early Savage 110 action, custom barreled in 7mm Rem Mag, and stocked with a lovely piece of English Walnut. This rifle is built on one of the very earliest commercially available left handed actions. The Rifle is in great shape with minor handling marks in the wood and very little wear on the metal, bore is bright and strong rifling. The Stock has a handsome shadow line cheekpiece, 1” Pachmayr pad, Schnable forend, engraved grip cap and lovely checkering. One could not come close to building this rifle today from a master like Jaeger for the price of this one!
