Really beautiful, original example of the Pre-War N Frame. This 38/44 Heavy Duty wears its #’s Matching 5 inch barrel and rare #’s matching Pre War Magna grips. These grips are rarely found, and to have them #’d to the gun they are on is awesome, they are hands down the finest fitting and feeling Magna grips to ever leave the factory. Used mostly on the Registered Magnum, but could be had on other models in the 3-4 years leading up to S&W suspending sales prior to WWII. This late Pre-War HD falling in that window in 1940. Great original blue with mild carry wear you like to see on these old HD’s that were largely Duty weapons. This gun remains slick, tight with a great action and bore.
