1995 Full House Custom Steve Nastoff Springfield 1911A1 -- 45 ACP
This Springfield, while unmarked, appears to certainly be the late-career work of Master Pistolsmith Steve Nastoff. This pistol left Springfield in 1995, and the 1995 dated Barsto match barrel tell us it was built right towards the end of Steve’s time building some of the best 1911’s in the country. Steve left pistolsmithing in the late 90s for a govt job and closed Nastoff’s 45 Shop in 2000. This example bears many of his hallmark features, including a well fit frame to slide and Barsto barrel. Low slung Bomar sight, Steve’s trademark finely checkered rear of slide, and checkered hammer. Also the checkering layout and execution on the triggerguard and frontstrap point to Steve’s hand, as does the chamferred holes in the 3-Hole Match trigger. This pistol is in greats shape with only minor wear and some fine freckles to note and the usual takedown mark on the frame. This gun is beautifully fit and finished, and a wonderful ‘Combat Auto’ spec and look to it. Gun wears Ebony Skipline Wood Calibers and comes with one mag.
