Classic Carry build by Dane Burns, this 1972 Colt LW Commander has been nicely built. Dane was one of the most in-demand builders of the early 2000’s. If not for stage 4 Cancer taking him out to the game he may still be building, though Dane beat the cancer it largely put him out of business too soon. This gun was built around 2006. From the Heinie night sights, hand matted slide top, and French Border down to the roundbutted frame wearing serrated front and back straps it is a very classic custom carry gun. Dane fit a Barsto match barrel and all top shelf internals to this build. The gun features a nice carry bevel and beautiful polished blue on the slide. This is the first time I have had a Colt Commander built by Dane, and it is a nice one!
