Really beautiful example, built by one of the most accomplished shooters in action pistol sports, Mike Plaxco. This Springfield left the factory as a parts kit in 1988, likely built by Mike shortly thereafter. This pistol is tight and smooth, tons of great checkering all over it! Front and backstraps, rear of slide, front and bottom of trigger guard. Fit with a Bomar rear sight, original front sight hole welded shut and up front we see the Plaxco comp mounted to the end of the 5.5” match barrel. Gun has a Safari arms beavertail and Swenson Ambi safety. I shot a mag thru it today, and nothing is quite as fun as blasting with a comp’d 38 Super, ran like a top.
