Really nice workup on this early post-WWII Colt Commercial Model. This gun has S&W Sights nicely installed, the front is soldered in a slot like the best did it, OEM rear dovetail nicely filled. The slide, in 48 was likely a WWII surplus unit given the heat treat lines. The builder polished the flats nicely and removed the roll marks. Micro Match bushing fit, frame to slide peened to tighten, nice trigger job on Colt parts. I cannot speak to who did the work, underside of slide marked ‘SHOP’ so perhaps a shop sample for someone? Nice, classic look custom 1911. The grips are a super high grade set of Herretts. Comes as shown with one Colt mag.
