This Colt left Hartford in 1991 and was likely crafted into its current state soon thereafter by metal-master Austin Behlert. Behlert, at this point in his career, was building some of the very best 1911’s he ever would, with decades of experience under his belt, his work became more and more refined. This pistol is wonderfully fit and finished. Behlert Custom ignition parts, Behlert Precision full port compensator hanging on a Behlert match barrel. This Colt Commander features Austin’s signature welded up finger grooves on the frame that just melt into your hand. This gun is fully finished in Hardchrome, it remains tight and smooth with a nice trigger. This gun has been slightly modified since built, in that the finger hook on the guard was reduced to fit standard holsters, and tritium vials added to the sights (still glow!). On the subject of holsters, this beauty fits like a glove in a standard Govt length holster making it scream to be carried to me. Comes as shown with one Wilson mag.
