These late production Model 40’s were only mfg ~5 years from 07-2012. They are all hard to find, but the Nickel ones rarely come to market. This gun is very clean, well cared for. This Smith’s history is well documented, ordered by long-time gun writer and retired LEO Rob Garrett. There is included Rob’s letter authenticating it, as well as a copy of the magazine article he wrote about the gun when he received it. This gun has been fired but extremely well kept. Comes as shown with original box, Letter from Rob, magazine article, and packing slip from S&W.
