1998 Terry Tussey Full House Custom Colt Defender -- IVORY Grips
Terry Tussey was a master Pistolsmith, and this little pistol is an beautiful example of the man’s craft.
Terry Tussey got his gunsmithing start in the late 50s at the famed Martin B Rettig gun shop in southern California. He would go on to be a Western states sales rep for Colt. Tussey moved back to full-time pistol smithing. He continued crafting fine 1911’s and revolvers up to his death in 2020, even after becoming a paraplegic in 2005. He was a master of small 1911’s, like this one. This is a really handsome build with a great feature set.
This little gun is in very good shape with only mild signs of being carried/shot. Fitted with a Barsto Match barrel, Ed Brown Beavertail grip safety, Kings extended thumb safety, steel flat mainspring housing, front and rear sharply checkered, front strap high cut, topped off with a lovely set of Colt Custom Elephant Ivory grips.
