I can honestly say, I have never had a finer condition pre-War Remington in my hands, this thing looks like it has been in a gun cabinet the past 90 years. The White steel of the gun is near spotless save some on the barrel extensions. The bluing is superb in depth and coverage, wood finish is 90++%, the original buttplate intact, even the original paper instruction card is in the forend. Checkering is sharp as is the engraving on the receiver. Both barrels are #’d to this receiver, both barrels have the same date code (Jan 1937), note the Imp Cyl Barrel has the #2 after the date code in lieu of the usual Heart/shield usually seen here. This gun comes from a lifelong collection and was the gent’s prized shotgun for its condition and rarity of the 2 barrel set.
