You just don’t find these early pre-war Colt 38 Super's in this condition, and originality often. This gun is in very impressive condition, with very mild wear/age to its original furnace blue finish. This Colt was MFG late 1929, and shipped Jan 9th 1930 to HD Folsom Arms in NY. HD Folsom arms, were purveyors and distributors of many fine firearm brands in the pre WWII market. They printed many catalogs for their various lines, including the included Police Equipment Catalog from the 30’s, this catalog is a priceless look back at cop-gear of the day including basic kit and the famous Folsom - Audley holsters. This Colt remains in fantastic shape, with very little wear inside or out for a gun nearing 100 years old, #’s matching slide, Original unmarked barrel, 2 tone mag and full checkered walnut grips. This gun comes as shown with Colt Archives letter, 1930’s Folsom Catalog, and an early flyer from another company advertising the new Colt Super 38 Automatic. Great cornerstone piece to any Colt collection.
