Early Cylinder & Slide Adventurer-SE -- 1994 Full House Custom Colt
This Cylinder & Slide Adventurer, built by Bill Laughridge’s Nebraska firm in the 90s is a prime example of pistolcraft. This one is marked Adventurer-SE, which I imagine SE denotes Special Edition, waiting to hear back from C&S on that. The gun started life in 1994 as a Colt Officers Model, C&S carefully chopped and checkered this little guy front to back, the work is incredibly clean, and nicely finished. These mini 1911’s are truly a poketable-powerhouse. Very few Adventurers were finished and dressed to this level based on my research. This gun has fine checkering front and rear, and on the mag catch, the rear of the slide perfectly checkered, even the top of the slide, all hand checkered. The slide features a double French Border and front & rear gold bead sights! Gun is topped off with a classic 2 tone finish and even has a silver Monogram panel inlet in the grip! Comes as shown with one mag.

Directly from Bill Laughridge:
‘That adventurer was built by my Smith Chris Hageman. It's got to be 20 years old. We were building them on colt 1991 A1 guns. They were inexpensive back then. We cut the grip off and then welded the cut off piece back on to make the short 5 round frame. A new Adventurer costs $4500 to $5500 depending on the options. This Adventurer would be in the $5500 range as it has many options on it. I estimate maybe only 20 of these got built on Colts before the switch to Caspian’
