An exceptional example of the casual genius of the late Terry Tussey.  Terry was one of the most well rounded, and imaginative pistolsmiths of his generation.  He worked on all manner of handguns from practical, to tactical, to hunting to competitive, to some more exotic stuff like the Juniors and Stealth Comp guns like this.  Terry worked over 50 years in custom pistolsmithing, and left an undeniable mark.  This little Colt has not one part that was not customized and modded in someway it seems.  The Stealth Comp idea involved machining a portion of the slide nose away, fitting the barrel with a cone’d mini comp that when finished would blend seamlessly to the slide and leave you with a gun that still had the original recoil system length and stroke, but offered an advertised 40% reduction in recoil.  This example built on a Colt Officers Model, finished in hardchrome, has all the options.  Flat topped slide, Clark Match barrel with custom fitting pads added, slide custom ground and polished, Safari Arms beavertail, serrated rear of the slide, Wilson Ambi safety, weld on magwell, checkering, the list goes on!  Rare opportunity to add one of the coolest Comp’d 1911 carry guns to the safe.  This gun is in good shape, showing only mild carry/handling wear.
