Steven Durren Custom Ruger #1 — 460 Smith & Wesson Magnum! — 133-51958

What a great handy rig for deer, hogs, or really anything in the lower 48!  The Ruger #1 has long been America’s Sweetheart single shot rifle, and they lend themselves to being great classic custom guns like this.  The work on this Ruger was done by highly regarded, American Custom Gunmaker’s Guild Member, Steven Durren.  Steve turned a new barrel for this rifle that shipped in 1998 as a 6mm Rem, the new gun left his shop as a 460 S&W Magnum to hunt the Michigan deer woods.  This barrel is 24″ long, with a 5/8×24 threaded muzzle with beautifully blended muzzle brake.  The 460 Smith & Wesson chamber will of course also chamber 45 Colt and 454 Casull making this a great multi purpose tool, and great mate to your favorite revolver. Steve also reshaped and bedded the forend on this.  Classic rifle, in a very practical caliber, customized by a great riflesmith!
