Gary Reeder ‘Montana Hunter’ — 356 GNR Custom Blackhawk — AMMO & DIES — 37-77991

Slick Custom Super Blackhawk built by Gary Reeder out of Arizona.  Gary has been working with guns since the late 1970s, when he started tinkering with wildcat cartridges (this one chambered for his 356 GNR round) for revolvers and Thompson Center Contenders.  Gary went full time into gunsmithing in the 1980s and has been at it ever since.  This Blackhawk started life in 2006 and received the Montana Hunter package from Reeder later.  The Montana Hunter package, per Gary’s site includes “The Montana Hunter is built on your base gun and comes in either satin Vapor Honed stainless, in our Black Chromex finish or in our popular two toned finish. You get our own extra beefy 5 shot cylinder, heavy duty barrel in the length of your choice, interchangeable blade front sight system, Gunfighter Grip with the grips of your choice including Micarta, laminated cherry, or several versions of laminated wood grips.”

This example is used in good condition, action is slick, does have a 5-shot cylinder, also included is a set of reloading dies and over 170 loaded rounds and a good bit of brass too!  The 356 GNR is made by necking down 41 Magnum,  barrel length is 6.5″
