Super classy fighting iron here from the bench of Dane Burns. This is a superb example, from one of the most in demand builders from the 90s-early 2000s. Dane told me he built a pair of matching guns for a client in the early 2000’s off brand new Wilson CQb’s, this is one of those guns. Gun has a nicely fit Barsto Barrel and bushing in it. A great carry bevel all around makes for a gun that melts in the hand perfectly, including a great rear sight dehorn treatment. Rear sight and rear of the slide serrated to match. “I am pretty specific about my mark, the Scottish thistle. The gun owner has to describe the work he wants and justify to me that the gun will be finished “as is” when it leaves my shop. If I agree it is a “finished gun” to my satisfaction I will mark the slide with a thistle. Full house, best grade guns get a “thistle” on the slide.
