Mike LaRocca, cut his teeth building Pachmayr Combat Specials in SoCal, he was Pachmayr’s Lead Pistolsmith for a period in the early 80s. Later he moved back East and hung out his own shingle and continued to build top shelf 1911’s. This 1984 Colt Combat Government is a nice basic Combat build by LaRocca. This pistol received a sight upgrade with a low mounted BoMar rear, Colt barrel has been welded up and refit. Pistol has a great trigger job on OEM parts. The Combat Govt Model came from Colt with Front strap serrations and the pictured Colt/Pachmayer grips. This is a classic KISS Combat gun touched by one of the greats, Mike crafted fine custom sidearms for over 50 years before retiring last year. Pistol comes as shown, with one mag.
