NOVAKS CUSTOM Para Ordnance LDA – Light Double Action 1911 — 45 ACP – P104541

Novak’s Custom Para, not something you will see very often!  But in the early 2000’s when Para brought out the LDA – Light Double Action 1911’s, lots of guys saw them as a great way to carry a ‘double action’ 1911.  With their clean, light 6# pull made them easy to shoot well, and no cocked hammer.  This one was built very soon after that introduction, likely on a new gun.  The gun was likely sent in because of a Scott Smith article over on M1911.com :  https://sightm1911.com/lib/review/LDA_745_novak.htm

This pistol has Novaks great stippling on the front strap wrapping under the trigger guard, Novaks front sight, Novak’s early adjustable rear sight (note the filled in Para rear sight cut, lots of work and super clean!)  Nice heavy carry bevel all around and likely a basic reliability job done.  Gun ran and shot well in my testing, and is a very nice example of early 2000’s custom combat handguns!
