Really Rare example here! Marlin thru the years has intermittently offered ‘Deluxe’ rifles, they would have upgraded wood, sometimes checkering like this one, sometimes animal carvings. This one was MFG in 1958 on a 336-A, this rifle has a 24″ tapered barrel and a half length mag-tube. The lumber on this rifle is on a whole other level with burl and figure end-to-end. The gun remains in great condition, with only a couple small spots in the bluing, and some light rubbing on the RH side the forend. Smooth action, bright bore, and superb fit and finish!
